This piece is apart of the adventure series from 2019. It was painted after a conversation I had at my campsite in Porteau Cove, British Columbia. The first painting of Anvil island was somewhat realistic but never looked right, and I got more and more frustrated trying to fix it. Two older women (one an artist) came up and we all started talking about it. She asked to see other examples of my work, so I showed her pieces I did in Washington to which she was enthralled. “Look how much play there is here. I can see you in this work. I mean that is fine, but these are more engaging.” It clicked. I was missing play. I started fresh and this playful painting was the result.

Shipping will be charged separately because of the size of the piece. Please inquire if you are interested in purchasing and I can figure out the shipping cost.
