White America

In 2019 I began creating a flag based on the 2010 census. I had just left the film industry, was about to go on a big adventure, and felt constantly frustrated/angered by the “Fox News” notion that white people were somehow a population that was prejudiced against or not being heard. Constantly upset that Donald Trump is our president I wanted to look at the racial divide of our country and created a flag in the process. The flag series is called White America. White Americans need to do better, get educated, and realize that the white population is the majority and it is our job to insist, demand and require equality. I want to have a flag made to then take on the next part of my adventure to photograph around the country. I am also excited to see the 2020 census and create another flag to compare. I believe that we aren’t free until we are all equal. Black Lives Matter.
