adventure photos

In 2019, I travelled around the country in my Yukon XL. I didn’t really know what to expect besides giving myself time and space to create. Traveling alone proved fairly difficult. Quite lonely, I often felt exposed in unfamiliar spaces. It was only upon returning to Atlanta in February that I began to understand my artistic process and how I felt comfortable in the unfamiliar and changing atmospheres. When I first get to a space I spend a day or even a few just taking photos. Taking photos of the spaces grounded me to it. I was able to find my own perspective and formed an attachment. These photos are a selection from August 2019-January 2020. More images can be found on my instagram page: katieewilson.
